Fishing (back to top)

Freshwater rivers. Brackish deltas. Bays, bayous and inlets. What a wealth of fertile waters just waiting for your first cast! Two or more fishermen will set out with a guide and everything they need to bring in speckled trout, redfish, white trout and flounder.

Each of our guides knows how to put you on the right spots. They know when to use live bait and where to cast an artificial lure. At Jesse's, fishing isn't limited to guided tours and daylight hours. You can cast a line off our lighted pier in the evenings while sipping something refreshing and trading fish tales.

Our fishing equipment is the finest, including 22-foot boats with all the power needed to get to just the right spot. We'll supply the rod and reel, bait, tackle and equipment. While you're fishing with Jesse's guides, you won't need an Alabama fishing license. Our guides will always adhere to state and federal fishing regulations.

Daily Itinerary (back to top)

Plan to arrive at Jesse's at 5 p.m. We'll help you get settled. Then sit down to a Southern-style dinner and some premium R&R.

The day begins with breakfast around 5 a.m. Then you'll set out with your guide for 8 hours of fishing. While weather and tides may determine the start time and length of the trip, you can be sure our guides will give you a full day's experience on the water. Lunch and snacks will be served on the boat. After your return, drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m., and dinner at 7:30 p.m.

Clothing (back to top)

The subtropical climate of Alabama's coast offers comfortable fishing weather most of the year. In spring and fall, mild temperatures usually call for layers. Mornings and evenings may be cool, but short sleeves will be appropriate for mid-day. Summer is hot and humid, so lightweight shorts and short-sleeved shirts will be most comfortable. In winter, adding gloves and a warm hat to your wardrobe will ensure your comfort on the water.

No matter what time of year you visit, you'll want to bring a billed hat and polarized sunglasses.
